Community Involvement

McDill is strong in the community focus area. McDill is preparing students to be active members of the surrounding community due to the various activities students are involved with, such as:

  • Making cards for the senior living center
  • Collecting pennies to support someone in need through the Penny Challenge
  • McDill grounds host a large community garden
  • McDill is also a host site for the YMCA Great Escape program
  • Students learn about Farmshed and Farm to School initiatives in 3rd grade
  • Students have the opportunity to participate in Student Council projects that give back to the community as well as join Scouts which meet at McDill
