McDill Elementary School Outdoor Planning Team (MESOPT)

In the spring of 2017, a group of teachers/staff, family and community members met to discuss the future of McDill's outdoor spaces.

The McDill Elementary School Outdoor Planning Team's (MESOPT) mission is to develop a long term master plan for all of McDill Elementary’s outdoor spaces through a comprehensive, participatory planning process that includes all potential Stakeholders.

The McDill Elementary School Outdoor Planning Team will facilitate the design, development, and sustainable management of an accessible outdoor space through a comprehensive participatory process focused on three priorities for the McDill Elementary School Community: education, health and fitness, and recreation.

This may include a 4-lane track, play spaces including equipment and natural playscapes, green spaces, wooded areas and trails, outdoor classrooms, and community garden spaces.
